German Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG) CO2 Price Path 2024-2025

The amendment to the German Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG), effective January 1, 2024, re-established the CO2 price path for 2024 and 2025. The price is set at 45 EUR/t CO2 for 2024 and 55 EUR/t CO2 for 2025. This aims to provide planning security and incentivize emissions reductions in the heating and transport sectors.
