BEHG Inclusion of Coal and Waste from 2023/2024

The Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG) expanded its scope to include coal from 2023 and waste from 2024. This extends CO2 pricing to additional fuel types, increasing the overall coverage of the national emissions trading system and impacting industries reliant on these energy sources.
