Denmark's Updated BR18 CO2e Emission Limits for New Buildings (2025)
As of 2025, Denmark further strengthened its BR18 building regulations by lowering the average CO2e limit from 12 kg/m²/year to 7.1 kg/m²/year. The scope was expanded to include almost all new constructions over 150m², and typology-based limits were introduced. The required climate impact reporting now includes life cycle phases A1-A5, B4, B6, C3, C4, and D, with a separate limit for construction phase emissions (A4 and A5) of 1.5 kgCO2e/m²/year.
