Proposed modification of CTE introducing DB-SA on Environmental Sustainability and other changes.

This proposed Royal Decree initiates a public consultation process for modifying the Technical Building Code (CTE). Key changes include the partial transposition of Directive (EU) 2024/1275 on energy efficiency, the introduction of a new Basic Document on Environmental Sustainability (DB-SA) with Global Warming Potential (GWP) indicator, modifications to fire safety (DBSI) and accessibility (DBSUA) regulations, and adaptation to the new European Construction Products Regulation. The consultation period ends on December 9, 2025.
