Danish Climate Act 2020
The Danish Climate Act, adopted in 2020, sets an ambitious direction for Danish climate policy. Its central goal is to reduce Danish greenhouse gas emissions by 70% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels, and achieve climate neutrality by 2050 (later advanced to 2045). The act guides climate efforts with principles of cost-effectiveness, sustainable business development, and social balance.
