ECHA PFAS Restriction Proposal Submitted (Jan 2023)

In January 2023, authorities from Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden submitted a comprehensive proposal to ECHA to restrict all per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under REACH Annex XVII. This proposal targets over 10,000 PFAS substances across various sectors, initiating a significant regulatory process within the EU.
