EPBD Recast (EU 2024/1275) — National Transposition Deadline

The recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD, EU 2024/1275) entered into force on 28 May 2024. Member States must transpose it into national law by 29 May 2026. The directive sets the EU building stock on a path to climate neutrality by 2050, mandates renovation waves for worst-performing buildings, and requires whole-life GWP disclosure for new buildings from 2028/2030.
