Catalonia ITP increase for large holders 2025
Catalonia increased the Impuesto sobre Transmisiones Patrimoniales (ITP) from 10% to 20% for large property holders, effective June 27, 2025. This measure aims to discourage real estate speculation and promote social housing use. New progressive tax brackets were also introduced.
