Energy Efficiency Directive (EED III)

Directive (EU) 2023/1791, the recast Energy Efficiency Directive (EED III), entered into force on October 10, 2023. It sets out a binding EU target to reduce final energy consumption by 11.7% by 2030 compared to 2020 projections. Member states, including Poland, are required to transpose its provisions into national law by October 11, 2025. The directive introduces new obligations for public institutions and businesses regarding energy savings and audits.
