Spanish-Portuguese Gas Price Cap for Electricity Generation 2022

Spain and Portugal implemented the 'Iberian mechanism' from June 2022, capping the price of gas used for electricity generation. This measure aimed to reduce electricity prices for consumers and was initially set at €40/MWh, gradually increasing. It was extended until the end of 2023.
