KfW Funding Stop for Energy-Efficient Buildings in Germany (2022)

On January 24, 2022, the KfW funding for energy-efficient buildings (BEG) in Germany was temporarily halted. The EH55 new construction funding was permanently discontinued, while funding for renovations was temporarily stopped. This was due to an overwhelming number of applications exceeding available budget funds.
