Climate Protection Act 2011 (KSG) - Emission limits until 2020
The Climate Protection Act (KSG), adopted in 2011 and last amended in 2017, sets maximum emission limits for various sectors, including buildings, until 2020. Although it does not contain sector-specific targets beyond 2020, coordination and reporting obligations remain in effect. The law mandates the federal government and states to develop measures to meet emission targets.
