Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet) comes into force

After multiple delays, the comprehensive Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet) officially came into force on January 1, 2024. This law bundles 26 existing laws, 60 general administrative orders, and 75 ministerial regulations into a single framework, aiming to simplify and improve environmental and spatial planning.
