New Regulations for Housing Communities in Poland
Legislative work is underway since February 2026 on amendments to the Act on Ownership of Premises in Poland. The main goal is to adapt housing community operations to market changes over the last 30 years. Key changes include a clearer definition of a housing community, clarification on balcony elements belonging to common property, the ability for communities to claim warranty rights for common property defects, increased advance payments for maintenance, and the obligation for owners to provide access to premises in specific situations.
