REACH: Management of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

The REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 comprehensively manages volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by mandating registration for quantities surpassing certain thresholds. While there isn't a new overarching EU-wide restriction specifically for VOCs in construction chemicals within 2022-2026, REACH ensures that VOCs used in construction products are identified, evaluated, and controlled if they pose risks. Various directives, such as the Paints Directive, also set limits for VOC content in specific product categories.
